How it works

A simple lifecycle for the electronics we take in. Reuse comes first, not last.

1. 01

   Intake

   Equipment is received and sorted.

2. 02

   Evaluate

   Items are assessed for condition, usefulness, and recoverable components.

3. 03

   Reuse

   Working or repairable electronics may be prepared for continued use or resale.

4. 04

   Recover

   Useful parts and components may be retained for reuse, repair, or resale.

5. 05

   Downstream

   Remaining material may be directed toward appropriate recycling channels where practical.

We prioritize reuse over immediately treating equipment as waste. A surprising amount of retired electronics still contains working machines and reusable parts, so that’s where we look first.
